    That is for meta tags. For example if you wanted the following description meta tag on your page:

    <meta name="Description" content="This is a description">

    You would enter "This is a description" into tag value.

    So for a tag of "gemstone", the value might read "this is a gemstone"??

    Also I notice you typed out the following:

    <meta name="Description" content="This is a description">

    Am I suppose to type this html code in either the meta or value box the same way?

    No... there is no such tag as "gemstone". The most used meta tags are description, and keywords.

    Yes, I would use key phrases instead of individual words.

    So like "gemstone jewelry design".

    The content might read, "this is for jewelry design"? Right?

    No, the content equals what you want to go into the meta tag.

    If you want your keywords to be: keyword 1, keyword 2 then you would create the following meta tag:

    tag name "Keywords"
    content "keyword 1, keyword 2"

    This would generate the following meta tag for your page:

    <meta name="Keywords" content="keyword 1, keyword 2">

    If you wanted your description meta tag to be:

    <meta name="Description" content="My site is about tao gems"> you would create the following meta tag:

    tag name "Description"
    content "My site is about tao gems"
