Problem with voting link from TRANSLATED page

I have a French blog which is being linked on our TopList to the English translation of the blog. Everything looks fine, but the HIT IN is not counting.

Here's the code for the link.
    Code:
    http://72.30.186.56/babelfish/translate_url_content?lp=fr_en&trurl=http%3a%2f%2fblogvillage.gotop100.com%2fin.php%3fref%3d470
Any suggestions on how to get this to work for this member??

I'm not sure I follow. Where is it being linked from like that?

Unfortunately, linking like that is probably going to cause problems. The best thing is to link to it using the correct code and then translate the actual index.html.

Every once in awhile I accept a foreign language blog if it has the translation links available. Then, I use the translated version as the link for the TopList. I had never noticed before that doing it this way is breaking the voting link.

It won't do any good to link to the foreign language site, expecting people to vote there, and then translate to read it.

Linking OUT to a babelfish translated page should never cause a problem.

But I don't understand why the link IN to your top list has to go through babelfish? Why can't it just link to the top list using the correct linking code?

This is the link on the person's blog from the translated page. Babblefish messed up the link, somehow.

Since I'm not having any luck explaining what I mean, here's the site.

Oh ok now I get it... they do have the correct link on their page, but Babelfish is messing it up. That sounds like a job for Babelfish support. If you look at the other links to other sites on their translated page, they look kind of messed up too. There is really nothing we can do about that from our end. Sorry

LOL There is no such thing as Yahoo support! But I did ask my question on their Community Help forum.

    That is true......

Maybe there are some better translators out there that won't play around with links?
