Top of Index Page and Gateway Page a bit wrong

Hello, your lists are great fun, thank you

I have a problem though.... I have been editing my list and the top of the page has gone off-center. I have tried removing my background image from the CSS but this has no effect. It is also splitting my gateway page too.

Any ideas how to put this right? Thank you

Also, I have added a title image on the 'rank, site, rating, in, out' line which I like, but the image also repeats in the left hand numbered boxes - how would I stop this?

    Thank you

    Hello,

I fixed it by adding a text-align: center; to the maintable element of your css.

Also, I have added a title image on the 'rank, site, rating, in, out' line which I like, but the image also repeats in the left hand numbered boxes - how would I stop this?
The only way to stop this would be to choose a different template that does not use the header css element in the rank boxes.

Hi, thank you for responding so quickly and for adding some code for me.

However, the header still seems to be off-line and the gateway page has lost most of my background image to the black background colour...

It happened after I added the inner background image (to the Maintable...)

The header is not offline for me, it is just wider than the rest. Other than that it is perfectly centered.

You can remove the background color from the break element to get rid of the black.

Thank you so much for your support.

I think we might be seeing different things....

    Here's what I am seeing:

Using percentage for width might do the trick. Bear in mind that pages might look different depending on the browser, screen resolution et cetera.
But there might be something in the CSS code that is wrong.

Thank you for the % idea... I have added it. Also, I checked the page in internet explorer and it's OK - exactly how I want it to look... so you are right.

I use Firefox... so it must be a something to do with this... do you know if there is there a fix please?

Would you like me to post my CSS?

There is an add-on from Mozilla - so it's an official one - for Firefox called IE Tab. It would most likely do the trick for you.

That won't solve the problem for everyone else who views her site using Firefox. It would be better to fix the problem with the css.
