Meta Tags, I have read all the forum posts

While updating my meta tags for keywords, description and verify Google I copied and pasted my Google key with quotes. Then I noticed Gotop also adds quotes so I ended up with too many. Now I cannot get Google to verify. I put the second meta tag verify and it is correct.
Could you please delete the first verify with double quotes.
